Theodore C. Mead Jr.

​Theodore C. Mead Jr. Passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was born on August 22, 1944, to Theodore C. Mead Sr. and Marian F. Wolcott. On April 19, 1964, he married his bride, Kay Germond. They had two children, Michael Anthony, and Pamela Gail.

Teddy or “Judge" as called by many of his family and friends was a truck driver for many years, owning and operating his own trucking business "Ted Mead Trucking.” Prior to owning his own trucking business, he also worked for Greene County Highway, and served on the Lexington Town Board. He was also an avid golf enthusiast.

He is survived by his mother, Marian Mead of Oneonta, his wife Kay of Lexington, his son Michael (Virginia) Mead of Prattsville, his brother Robert A. Mead of Lexington, NC, sister Teresa (Kenny) Castle of Gilboa, grandchildren Samantha (Joe) O'Neil, Richard Mead, Katie (Jeremy) Baxter, Amanda (John) Harrington, and Matthew (Desi) Cline, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Theodore Sr., daughter Pamela, twin sister Thelma (Judy) and oldest sister Elizabeth.  Teddy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He is at peace, fly high with the angels. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1PM at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home at 7742 Main Street, Hunter, NY.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
