With deepest sorrow, I announce the passing of my mom Ann Mangano, long-time resident of Hunter, NY. As she passed from this life, my mom was in the good company of her two beloved nieces, Rosaire Guido of New Jersey and Laura Young of Athens, NY, along with her devoted care-giver Maria Andrade, also of Hunter.
Ann Mangano will be interred at St. Frances de Sales Cemetery in Elka Park, NY, at 11:30AM on what should have been her 100th birthday, 30 June 2021. Friends and neighbors are welcome to attend and commemorate her life. Over the course of very nearly a century, my mom touched the lives of countless people. Your fond recollections will comfort me in her absence. If you have a memory of my mom, please share it with me, Helen Mangano, in care of Aston-Basagic Funeral Home; or e.mail me directly via [email protected]. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the NATIONAL CENTER ON ELDER ABUSE https://eldermistreatment.usc.edu/support-the-institute-make-a-donation/ or Greene County Office of the Aging – ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION at 411 Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414. Pictured below is Ann Mangano enjoying a visit with her grandchildren and great grandchildren weeks before her life ended abruptly.
