Robert Chester Goodrich

February 27, 1929 - October 2, 2018

Robert Chester Goodrich 89 years of age. A lifelong resident of Hunter NY passed away October 2nd at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany NY with his daughter at his side.
He was born to the late Mark & Etta Becker Goodrich in Hunter on February 27, 1929.

Bob was retired from the NYS Highway Dept. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War, 1952-1953. A member of the American Legion Bunt Brewer Post #165 and a 70 year member of the Hunter Fire Co.
Survivors include one daughter, Candy Lee Simmons (Philip), one son, Robin Goodrich, one brother, Leon Goodrich (Ila), one sister, Marie Hughes, 3 grandchildren, Richard (Toni), Kevin (Jenifer), Timothy & Amanda Decker, one great granddaughter, 3 great grandsons, many nieces and nephews, best friends Michael & Susan. He was predeceased by five brothers and one sister.
Calling hours will be Sunday October 7 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home, Main St. Hunter. Services will be conducted Monday October 8th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery in South Jewett NY. Memorial contribution may be made to the Hunter Fire Co. in his memory.
