Patricia J Benjamin passed away peacefully on June 23, 2021 at the age of 93. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She was born October 21, 1927 to Patricia and Romaine Francis.
Pat attended Hunter Tannersville Central School graduating in 1945. She met John J Benjamin in school and later married to become an "Army wife". After traveling the world they returned to NY to settle in Hunter where she quickly became everyone's "Mama Pat." Pat always enjoyed sharing her fond memories of working at Hunter Mt., Bruno's and Christy's where she developed lifelong friends. Her love of being in the kitchen soon led her to working at the Greene County Nutrition Center in Jewett, NY for 20+ years cooking and feeding many senior citizens, often with one or another grandchild in tow! Pat had a vivacious personality and wit that no one could match. She loved reading, her furried friends, and never missed nightly Wheel of Fortune! Pat is survived by her four children, Debbi, Jayne, Stephen and Kelly as well as grandchildren Kerri Reme, Amara (Ryan) Schrader, Jasmin Bogus, and Divante Bogus. She also loved and enjoyed every moment with her year old granddaughter Jagger Bea Schrader. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Marshall, stepmother Pearl Francis (Grammy), Margaret Bach (Nany), and her son Kerry Francis Benjamin as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Monday June 28, 2021 from 2-5 pm at the Aston Basagic Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, donations may be made in Patricia's name to: Tannersville Rescue Squad Box 562 Tannersville NY 12485 or Columbia Greene Humane Society 111 Humane Road Hudson, NY 12534
