William K. Kohler, 43 of Catskill passed away on December 26th, 2021 from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident, on route to his mothers home early that morning, after receiving a phone call that she was with paramedics. William's mother Mary Truesdell also passed away that day.
He was a graduate from the Hunter-Tannersville central school district in 1998. He was employed as a stock boy for Hunter Mountain for five years. He also worked for a brief time at both Williams Lumber in Tannersville, NY and Walmart in Kingston, NY. He was currently self-employed, gathered scrap metal, a job he loved doing. William leaves behind his wife of 15 years, Christine Kohler and their two children, Sierra, age 12 and Braydon, age 11. William also leaves behind his brother Gleason Truesdell 3rd (Joan) from Hunter, NY, and three sisters, Margaret Partridge (Kevin) from Ashland, NY, Tina Meeker of Hunter, NY and Ann Merwin (Kenneth) also of Hunter, NY. As well as another brother Jesse Kohler (Cassie) of Tannersville, NY and father William Kohler Sr. (Teri) of Scottsville, KY. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be on Thursday, January 6th, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home, 7742 Main Street, Hunter, NY 12442.
