Gloria Campbell

Gloria was born in Haines Falls, NY, on August 2,1926 to the late Leon and Edna Knapp of Haines Falls, where she was a longtime resident.
She was predeceased by her husband Francis Campbell of 67 1/2 years, daughter Renee Van Valkenburgh, granddaughter Lisa Pond, brother Lloyd Knapp & nephew David Knapp.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Nettie (Donald) Pond, daughter Audrey (Edward) Mayer. Grandchildren Susan (Tim) Chappie, Amy (Chad) Goodfellow, Sherry (Bill) Bauman, Michael (Cathy) Pond, Rebecca (Jesse) Alfano, Tammy (Kevin) McGInnity, Sarah (Chris) Masten, Zoe (Brad) Banas and Jeffrey (Amanda) Mayer. She leaves behind 21 great grandchildren, sister in-law Kathleen Campbell, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
Gloria worked for 30 years as a seamstress at Murry Pearlman’s dress factory In Tannersville and In later years she worked at Nordic Designs in Saugerties. She adored spending time with her family. She attended Kaatersklll Methodist Church and enjoyed helping to prepare many dinners that the church sponsored. In her later years she loved playing bingo and enjoyed many days playing bingo with friends at the senior center.
Calling hours will be at the Aston Basagic Funeral Home, Hunter NY. Sunday April 7, 2019 between 5:30 PM. - 7:30 PM.
Funeral will be held at Kaaterskill Methodist Church, Tannersville, NY Monday April 8,2019 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kaatersklll Methodist Church or to the Tannersville Rescue Squad.
