Gene T. Beers

Gene T. Beers, of East Jewett passed away at St. Peter’s Hospice in Albany, NY. He was born on July 9, 1957 to Rose Marie (O’Brien) and Maurice Beers in Catskill, NY. He was a retired social worker for the Greene County Department of Social Services, where he worked for 30 years.
Survivors include his mother; Rose Marie Beers, one uncle; Peter O’Brien, two aunts; Teresa M. Decker, and Virginia Beers, and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father; Maurice Beers, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be announced in the future. Contributions may be made to the East Jewett Fire Department in Gene’s memory.
