Markus Steinmann

Markus Steinmann, 59, died on April 9th 2023 at his home.

He was born and raised in Germany and was the son of the late Axel and Irmgard
Steinmann.

Markus was the Innkeeper at Brookside Bed and Breakfast, Haines Falls, before he
retired last year. Markus enjoyed entertaining and feeding his guests. He gardened
and fished. Music of all types inspired him and football was his passion.

Markus is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nuala Ratcliffe, his brother Lukas
Steinmann, aunts, uncles and cousins near Nauheim, Germany and his Irish family in both Ireland and Australia. Markus also left behind so many friends in the US, Ireland, Germany and many other countries around the world. He deeply valued his family and friends.

Markus’s life will be celebrated here and in Europe. Details to come.
